A Positive Change: Recyclable Coolers
In the past, AcariaHealth used Styrofoam coolers made to safely deliver temperature-sensitive medications. While Styrofoam served its purpose, we’re committed to finding a better, more sustainable solution.

We’ve now replaced our Styrofoam with Renewliner coolers made from recycled plastic bottles.  This change reduces waste and gives plastic a second life, making a positive impact on both the environment and our patients, who can feel good knowing their medications are shipped in sustainable packaging.

Sustainability Meets Efficiency: The Benefits for All
We’re excited about this change and its wide-reaching benefits for our company, our patients, and the environment:    

• Lower Carbon Footprint: The coolers are made from 100% recyclable polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a sustainable, FDA-approved material safe for food and medication contact.
• Reliable Temperature Control: Just like Styrofoam, these coolers protect medications from heat during transport. 
• Stronger and More Durable: Renewliner coolers provide greater protection and stability during shipping. 
• Simple and Convenient: No special disposal required – these coolers can be placed in curbside recycling bins.

With an estimated 264,000 coolers shipped annually, switching to 100% recyclable PET will eliminate the waste equivalent of 189 school buses or two Olympic swimming pools each year. This shift will drastically reduce AcariaHealth’s carbon footprint over time.
